ECCLESIASTICAL HERITAGE

In terms of ecclesiastical heritage, Quatretonda has a parish church from the 16th and 17th centuries in the centre of the village, where the Renaissance façade, the Bell Tower and the Baroque reminiscent of the Gothic nave highlight; and Sant Josep hermitage with Stations of the Cross, from the 17th century and in the Baroque style, on the outskirts. In “el Pla”, a few kilometres away, is the simple and austere hermitage of Sant Martí, of unknown origin, built on the ancient village of Rosament or Dorresment. Noteworthy is also the rich set of popular devotional ceramics, known as “els Santets” in the streets.
